You've probably seen the giant flower paintings done by Georgia O'Keefe. They made her name and sell for huge amounts. It would be tempting to believe that she must have had some special link with nature, that flowers spoke to her soul. (SOUND OF BUZZER--WRONG!). Here's what she said:
"I hate flowers. I paint them because they're cheaper than models and they don't move."
I don't know about you, but I find that very heartening.
