In the Palm Springs publication, Bottom Line, there is an interview with digital artist Dan Irvine (that's not one of his images to the left, I'm just using this one to illustrate the category). Although he's had several shows, he finds that the art scene has not been too receptive to digital art.
I like his attitude to this kind of semi-rejection: "It just isn't accepted. But it will be. As people see more and mroe digital art that actually says something, that's original, and not afraid, inevitably it will be accepted."
Good words to keep in mind anytime you feel like an unappreciated pioneer!
