On the TED site, writer/director/producer J. J. Abrams, the creator of “Alias,” “Lost,” and the upcoming “Cloverfield” feature film, talks about the mystery box. It’s a funny, entertaining examination of the role of mystery and possibility in the creative process.
Among other things he talks about withholding information from the audience, which (in my opinion) “Lost” practices to a fault… He includes clips from “Lost,” “Jaws,” and “Mission Impossible III,” to illustrate his points.
