This is the time when many people who made New Year's resolutions start to falter. If you've set a writing goal and have not kept up with it, here's a simple switch that can get you back on track:
Don't say, "This is the YEAR that I (write my novel, publish my memoirs, sell articles to magazines, etc.)
Instead, say, "This is the DAY that I (write one page of my novel, take notes for my memoirs, come up with three ideas for articles I could write, etc.)
Keep your focus on what you can do today, and pretty soon all those todays will add up to a magnificent year.
