Maybe you envy people who can be full-time writers. In some ways it's great, but there is also a downside. Consider this quote:

If you have another full-time job, you're banking lots of material that you can use in your writing. If it's your goal to be a full-time writer, keep a journal of what's happening now and you'll have plenty of material to draw upon later.
