Will anybody want to publish your book once you've gone to all the trouble of writing it?
I don't know.
Here's something I DO know: Nobody will publish it if you don't write it.
For non-fiction books you don't have to write the whole thing. You can write a proposal, including two sample chapters, to submit to agents or publishers. You should start with a letter offering to send them the proposal and only send it to those who ask. If they like it, they'll represent it (agents) or publish it (publishers).
For novels, you'll have to write the whole thing.
Maybe you think that's a lot of work to do with no guarantees.
Sorry, but in what part of your life are you getting guarantees?
Here's the solution: if you don't care enough about the project to take the risk, don't do it.
If you're passionate about it, do it and the journey will bring you many rewards in itself.
And maybe somebody will want to publish it...even if that person ends up being you.
