I've seen pictures of Roald Dahl's "writing hut," the little house he had in his yard but I didn't know the reason behind it.
As reported on NPR,he told his biographer, Donald Sturrock, that the hut helped him think like a child. He said, "I can cut myself off there...and within minutes become six and seven and eight again."
If you are writing for a particular group, what environment could help you get into the right mood? I don't necessarily change locations, but sometimes I do use pictures and music for the same purpose. But I wouldn't mind having a writing hut....
