Here's a wonderful example of dedication to story-telling in the form of a children's book. The author is Morgan Kostival, the book is "The Deep Black Pond." It's illustrated with photographs of miniature sets the author built. It took two years.
He told Digital Artist magazine, "I designed miniature sets and the creatures that would inhabit them while simultaneously writing 'The Deep Black Pond,' which took about a year. Taking the actual photographs took an additional three months...and because film has always been my first love, I chose to produce the photographs on 35mm stock...it was not until postproduction that I transferred everything to digital to add subtle effects and nuances that would enhance their appeal."
A great example of a writer who obviously is motivated by the love of story-telling!
