Some of you know that despite the fact that I wrote “Marketing for Entrepreneurs” (Pearson Publishing), I have a love-hate relationship with marketing. Or at least with marketing as it often is practiced, particularly via social media. Here is some marketing advice from a marketing guru (name withheld to protect the guilty):

Yes, she’s offering you thoughts you can present as your own. Man, that really brings out the “hate” part of the love-hate thing. I guess if you can fake authenticity you have it made…
