Apparently Timothy Hutton likes to read and to Tweet about what he reads, and that led to him agreeing to appear in a book trailer for Julie Klam (“You Had Me at Woof: How Dogs Taught Me the Secrets of Happiness” and “Love at First Bark: How Saving a Dog Can Sometimes Help You Save Yourself” ), who he knew only via Twitter. He plays a jerky version of himself. It’s amusing, but will it sell books? I don’t think so; for that, they might have been better of with Lassie.
