This one-minute film using minimal visual elements is a nice demonstration of how you can get across story ideas simply. Watch the video and, if you like, pick one of the topics (trust, love, etc.) and see how few words you can use to get it across. For instance, for love it might be:
She said, "I'm not hungry, you eat mine." (She was hungry.)
