Students who spent two weeks working on their posture ended up having more self-control on other tasks. It's not actually posture as such that's the key, it's practicing self-control and perhaps the confidence gained that if you can do it in one area, you can do it in another.
If lack of self-control (e.g., procrastination, too much time on the web, over-eating, etc.) is major issue for you, it could make sense to spend a couple of weeks working on a less intense one first.
